This is my personal blog. You never know what you’re going to get.
I’ve merged my previous personal blog here, Life in the Short Lane. I’ve just noted that the further back you go in the archives, the funnier I am.
Yes, this concerns me.
If I were to describe myself by what I do, I take pictures and I write. One year I write 100s of thousands of words, the next I take thousands of photographs. I’m a bit conflicted.
I work as a portrait photographer in Myrtle Beach, SC.
The older I get the more I go with the flow. (And the less funny I get?)
I am a mother and a wife.
I have a love/hate relationship with cooking and food.
I’ve had my fair share of chronic health conditions, yet refuse to allow them dictate my life.
I have a labradoodle named Lily.
I had a remarkable ballet teacher when I was a child, who instilled a true love of dance in me. She did that for all her students. We were all beautiful and capable of magic.
I’m not big on labels.
I love to laugh.
I think meeting my husband, parenting, traveling, and realizing that age is just another number are the biggest things that have changed my life.
I know that understanding that everyone you meet has a bigger story than meets the eye, does wonders for one’s outlook..
